@bugsounet Hi,
Thank you very much for your wonderful support!
Please let us know if there is any update. -
Hi @bugsounet
May i know please if the above issue is solved?
Thanks in advance -
Is this not maybe a Google issue and not relate to the mirror module?
The only thing that i find is that in the Google Home app its asking for a Device Name. In the project section there is only a Project Name, Project ID and Project number. I have tried all 3 but no luck yet.
I used this feature for a shopping when it was still working. Asking Jarvis to add an item to my shopping list and then at the shops reading it off my phone and clearing the items as i go along -
Iām having the same issue - will not allow photos to be displayed without permission. However, when I go into the GA app on my phone, as directed, it cannot locate my MagicMirror or Pi4 device under āDevicesā to allow permissions.

bugsounet is working on it

Thanks! Was just thinking about a workaround for the permission issue. Not sure if this is possible within the GA module, but with MMM-GoogleFit, in MagicMirror the module indicates āGoogle Fit/Enter Codeā onscreen. If you go to https://google.com/device and input the code displayed on the MagicMirror screen, it authenticates and adds permission to display your Google Fit info. After going to https://google.com/device, there are a series of prompts: āConnect to a device -Enter Codeā --> āChoose Accountā --> āAllow Accessā --> āDevice Connectedā
-
I believe this could be the answer to the device permissions issue. Going to try it when I have more time - https://developers.google.com/assistant/sdk/guides/library/python/embed/install-sample

Thanks again for all of your hard work on this module! Any luck with Google permissions? Would be great to be able to add to calendar, lists, remindersā¦etc. Thanks again!
-
@dresch360 that will be the cherry in the top of the cake
-
@bmachina Iām donating monthly to the project, so hopefully that will help move things along
-
Not sure if Iām doing something wrong. But so far, Iām unable to do any of the following and am getting the permission error when asking for any of the following:
- Add to Google Calendar
- Add to Google Shopping list
- Add a Google Task
- Display Google Photos
- Play Spotify
- Any home automation task
Does anyone know if there is any workaround for this?
Thanks again!
-
@dresch360 Hello. did you find some time to test? thanks for your return
-
I noticed something and Iām not sure if itās helpful, but thought I should share nevertheless. When I open Assistant settings on my phone, and select Devices, I can see both my mirror, but also a different Assistant I tried before I made my mirror, itās called Gassitpi. Both use the same credentials file. But the Gassitpi allows āPersonal resultsā, āAlertsā and shows āDevice adressā. My mirror device only shows an unticked āPersonal resultsā, and when I try to tick it, the app force closesā¦!

Iām working around for v4
