Solved MagicMirror crashing on MM Refresh and Restart with message "You can't use MMM-GoogleAssistant in server mode"
-
Hey Bugs - thank you again for the fixes and the additional functionality and recipes for MMM-GoogleAssistant!
System:
64-bit Bookworm running on Pi5 with X11
Linux ClientV5 6.1.0-rpi8-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.1.73-1+rpt1 (2024-01-25) aarch64 GNU/Linux
Linux version 6.1.0-rpi8-rpi-v8 (debian-kernel@lists.debian.org) (gcc-12 (Debian 12.2.0-14) 12.2.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Debian) 2.40) #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.1.73-1+rpt1 (2024-01-25)Node v20.8.0
npm v10.1.0When I refresh MagicMirror “Ctrl” + “r”, I receive error message “You can’t use MMM-GoogleAssistant in server mode” and then MagicMirror crashes. The strange thing is that there is no error message in the logs. I think there may be some conflict between MMM-Remote-Control and MMM-GoogleAssistant, but I can’t find it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, it’s not a crash
- It’s a security. I just close MM²
- when you reload MM² with
CTRL + r
only dom (display) and core of all modules are reload and notnode_helper
- MM² consider it that a new instance for all modules (like a server mode)
