Unsolved Jarvis no longer responds after installation of bookworm

try with
raspi-config
to changepipewire
topulseaudio
I have to do that in my testBut remember, there is many issue with Raspbian 12, best way is still with Raspbian 11
Because many feature are not availableMy personal know issues:
- [Audio Record]
pipewire
activated by default --> not able to find the new command line to use it
–> solved by using pulseaudio inraspi-config
- [Screen] Not able to change to
vc4-fkms-v3d
driver inconfig.txt
--> no boot when using it - [Screen] not able to use EXT-Screen --> screen not turn off
- [FreeboxTV] not able to force fullscreen
working around with another (test) SDD in my pi4 with no delay actually
Note: It’s not related to EXT-Pages … it’s just
bookworm
OS - [Audio Record]

Following your last post, I used the command “sudo raspi-config nonint do_audioconf 1” and ran MM : Jarvis still not working. I don’t understand the rest of your post. So now I have no idea of what to do. Do I go back to the previous version of Linux so I can get Magic Mirror to run? If so, how do I do that?
-
not this…
sudo raspi-config
> Advanced Options > audio config > pulseaudioand reboot
-
Ok, audio now set to pulseaudio. Jarvis still does not work. Will this erver work? Or do I have to abandon Magic Mirror? (after a month of work, because I am very slow a Linux - I have to Google everything)
-
what do you want me to tell you…
there is so many issue with MM² with
Raspbian 12
(bookworm), just see MM² Forum
So there is some issue there tooIn Wiki, I advice to keep Raspbian 11 (bulleyes) for the moment
Why :@bugsounet said in Jarvis no longer responds after installation of bookworm:

I can’t do better actually, sorry

Could I ask you a few questions?
- Is it possible to go back to the previous version of Linux, and if so, how would I do this? Would this fix all the problems? (I was able to download a legacy version of bullseye)
- If I do go back to a previous version of Linux, will the use of the Update commands do a re-install of bookworm?
- Will you be working on a way to get your EXT modules to work with bookworm? (i.e. should I just wait for that?)
- I did a search of the MM2 forum, could not find any reference of difficulties regarding the use of bookworm. Am I the only one?
- I have a problem with the use of port 8081 that might be part of the problem: on my router i have port-forwarded port 8081 to the RPi. In my config.js, I have entered 8081 as the port to be used, but when I enter (10.0.0.249 is the IP address of my RPi): 10.0.0.249:8081, I get an error message saying that the connection was refused. Could this communication problem be causing my problems with Jarvis?

working around bookworm … I have have collected all informations for migrate. (since yesterday night)
Let’s me some times for code it, test itNotes:
GA main core will have no change
GW Main core will have no changeActually I have to review:
- GA installer (force to use pulseaudio)
- EXT-Screen for set correctly new dpms support with wayland and installer for disable timeout blanking of the OS
(EXT-Screen is undercoding in bookwarm branch)
-
OK. Thanks very much for reply and your hard work. I will wait for the results.

Hi bugsounet and everyone else. Good news! Just to let you know - after the recent updates, my Jarvis now works. Thank you so much bugsounet! So I have been busy installing the rest of the modules I want on my Magic Mirror. So far so good.
One small question: Is Jarvis supposed to actually talk? My Jarvis only only makes a funny beep.
Everybody have a great day!
