Unsolved How it works?
-
Hi, there is no explanation of how this module works. I understand it will wake up the screen if any movement, but no explanation of how it will turn off the screen if no movement. Software is installed on Ubuntu and some older laptop which is planned to be used as hardware for the mirror. At the moment the screen is set to always on in Ubuntu settings…
Do I have to change it there to turn it off in the first place?
thnx -
Hi, maybe wiki of
EXT-Motion
will help you -
Yes, I figured out its the extension of the Screen module. Just tweaking it out, but for now, I can’t make it work. Will post if I run into an unsolvable problem. thnx

EXT-Alert
show an pop-up Error? -
No, I initially set both timer on / off option along with movement but it could not work together. After using only movement it works flawlessly.
I’m really happy to say that all the modules I tried are working great. thnx -
sure
with cron timer on / off option
- It will prevent the screen off when timer cron will be off -> timer will displayed on screen -> and if you are again in front of the screen (it will detect any motion) -> timer on screen will be reset -> when timer on screen will be ended -> it will turn off the screen
- It will no wake up the screen when it will forced to be in OFF mode
Without any cron on/off
- Timer will be displayed
- You will use full motion plugin to wakeup
