When I activated Google Assistant it recognizes “Hey Jarvis” but when we tell it check the time or any additional attribute it states “sorry I do not understand”. When reviewing the log it shows an “audio open error device or resource busy” with arecord. Not sure if we need to change something in the mic config for smart mirror. Please help

audio open error device or resource busy means that you have another process who use your mic.

In this case, thanks to use default interface for arecord with the other procress. It will use pulseaudio for recording both
Generaly… 95% of 3rd party module are very very old modules and don’t use pulseaudio (default interface) so it brerak other modules

I installed pulseaudio but how do I replace the arecord default configuration with pulseaudio in the config file for GA? What should the new configuration file look like. Thanks in advance.

@smrtvizn : pulse audio is available by default since raspi OS 10 (Buster)
            I don’t know why you reinstall it…

but how do I replace the arecord default configuration with pulseaudio in the config file for GA

GA Main core is coded for using Pulseaudio only
There is no feature in config for configure this

What should the new configuration file look like

            Maybe wiki website can help
