      Hello All,

For those of you using Google Assistant, what microphone do you use and how well does it pick up? Personally, I’m using a small “conference style” puck microphone and feel I have to scream to get it to work. Max distance, maybe 3 meters. I’d like to get to a level like the native Google appliances.
      Looking forward to your thoughts!

Hi. Personally I use this microphone bought on Aliexpress with the microphone volume set to 50% it works very well… Before buying a new microphone did you try to increase the volume of your microphone?

Hi, right now I am using a ReSpeaker 4 Mic Array.
Sometimes it is kind of a hustle to get it working – especially on most recent Raspberry Pi OS and 64bit systems.
It’s very sensitive when active and picks up spoken words quite well.
Another thing I really like about this Mic hat is, you can very easily attach a PIR and/or gesture sensor via its interfaces.
I have connected this PIR sensor and this simple gesture sensor. With this setup I can control the mirror via voice or gestures and the monitor turns on when somebody is around.
