@bugsounet inorder use youtube extension , i must have MMM-Assistant2Display module installed?and please share me the config snippet , im facing lot of errors please help me out

@bugsounet i have followed steps from wiki and when tried to play something in YouTube its replying me with "here is the list " and song is not playing , i don’t want video on the mirror but background at least i am hoping that it should play song and my username and token is null in the config file could that be reason? please help me out…

So explain me why you have said:

So why MMM-Assistant2Display ?
What error ? maybe Ext-Alert says an error ?
What is th Require for this plugins ?
What the command to search and play a video ?

One your videos in YouTube i have seen this module has been used and the config file you have uploaded in smart-mirror-config this module is there that is the reason i asked should I use that plugins to play YouTube

I used this command YOUTUBE SEARCH <ARTIST NAME> it replied me back here is the list from YouTube and nothing display and no song has been played and it automatically gone to home screen

If this coming because of username and token is null in the config file please generate a token for me

@bugsounet i have followed your steps from wiki and it’s install fine and no errors but problem is with working and i am using EXT-YOUTUBE module to play when i gave comand “. YOUTUBE SEARCH MICHEAL JACKSON” it replied like here is the list from YouTube and no song is getting played and automatically came to home screen and in the YouTube it showed 403 error and i guess that’s because of username and token is null please help me out with token that would really a great help and I’m really a GREAT fan of your work and would love to be part of your community

@little2605 Hi. Firstly when you have any kind of errors or logs you should post them using the code tab so everyone who can help will be able to locate the problem. Second if your problem is really the token then the wiki says:

As for searching you should also mention the song title:

youtube <artist/Title>: for search and display a video
Sample: youtube Michael jackson thriller
