- can you try this:
uname -a
Thanks to past the result

We will do a clean setup, can you try this:
cd rm -rf .rustup/ rm -rf .cargo/ cd ~/MagicMirror/modules/EXT-Librespot/components rm -rf librespot cd .. npm run setup
I have to know ONLY this:
Installing Rust... info: downloading installer info: profile set to 'default' info: ... info: ... ... ... Rust is installed now. Great! To get started you may need to restart your current shell. This would reload your PATH environment variable to include Cargo's bin directory ($HOME/.cargo/bin). To configure your current shell, run: source "$HOME/.cargo/env" Done.

-
Thank you for the response, I did exactly as you wrote, it took time, and finally no errors, yet Doesnt take the order, when I say Jarvis, Play Piano on Spotify, Nothing happen.

Hi,
I think we have to start from the beginning
And see if the “basic” functions work correctlyEXT-Spotify display something when you play Music from spotify on phone ?
-
-
I am seeing this same issue. The issue for is only when there is not currently anything playing on spotify. All functions work except for starting Librespot player.
I can:
- use my phone to play spotify on the mirror.
- control spotify once any player is running.
I cannot:
- Play anything on spotify if there is currenly no player active.
The error repeats 6 tmes before stopping:
[05.11.2023 16:26.29.083] [LOG] [SPOTIFY] API Request fail on : /v1/me/player/play AxiosError: Request failed with status code 404

can you past the result of this command in a terminal:
ps aux | grep librespot
(don’t forget to moderate your content: username/password)
-
Sure thing, here you go.
62638 550 0.2 0.0 17124 6424 ? Ss 19:03 0:00 /usr/bin/librespot

Problem is there:
62638 550 0.2 0.0 17124 6424 ? Ss 19:03 0:00 /usr/bin/librespot
You have 2 active librespot app, it’s why it can’t connect
Maybe an installation with librespot as service or … maybe you have installed raspotify ? -
OK, I uninstalled all versions of librespot. Followed the step 2 above. Install finished, without issue but still seeing the same problem.
Back to one instance:
eoin 1066 0.0 0.0 16844 6108 ? right it’s good for me
So, we are going to restart from the beginning for testing … step by stepNow, when you listen music from Spotify on your phone
does EXT-Spotify on MagicMirror display the title ?(I ask this question to know if EXT-Spotify is properly installed … step by step)
-
@bugsounet Yes, EXT-Spotify displays the song when spotify is currently playing on any device. And it is able to control spotify while spotify is running.
-
ok perfect
Next step:
Try to play spotfy music from your phone and transfert it to
Mirror
/!\ wireless connexion is neededMusic must continue with
EXT-Librespot
-
Well good news is it just started working. couldn’t tell you why.
