Hi everyone,
once again thanks for your awesome work. You truely keep it going and are continuously improving your project. I just tried to setup the new concept now with the gateway. Sadly I do get the following error during postinstall

Hi, I think that your os is bulleyes X64 ?
-
i had mine working yesterday with bullseye 64 but now i tried to install awesome alexa module with it and it messed my whole mirror up, had to delete google assistant i removed all folders and code in config but now got issues.
-
alexa module don’t works and not maintened since 5 years
after x64 os is a bad choice for MagicMirror using … nodejs and npm dependency are really not ready for this (and MagicMirrror too)
it’s your choice
make as you wantNote GA and a very old module with mic using are not compatible both (don’t use the same protocol)
New protocol: allow to use mic for all app in the same time
Old protocol: allow to use the mic only one time (and other app are refused)Sample using with new protocol:
- we can use XX listener with
EXT-Detector
and we useSnowboy
andpico voice
technology at same time - no delay for turn off mic for using GA
- I just turn off listening when app have finish to using (but I don’t turn off mic)
- —> result: Time gain ~ 3 sec
- we can use XX listener with

yea, i gave up on alexa and will stick to GA, I have no issues on 64 bullseye, what is the problem with using bullseye? I feel like my mirror is working bad ass, super fast and responsive. I do have a new issue with an alert at the top that keeps saying [object, object] weird. should i open a new post for this?
-
who send this ?
EXT-Alert
say the sender in the buttom right of the popup -
UPDATE,I had similar node-pty issue, I removed and reinstalled alert, gateway, detector and GA. then it all came back to normal, thank goodness, sucks when it bugs or errors and you dont remember what you did or how many steps ago. Now i install and make changes and test right away, if it works, I keep going, if it errors at least i know what caused it.

GA is alerting [object,Object] also GA sounds like she is talking twice at the same time sounds echo a little
