idea Add WS2812B LED response to Bugsounet's MMM-google assistant module.
Hi! Someone has an idea of using a few WS2812B LED meters to stick around the frame of the smartmirror and when we call Alexa, the LED lights up along with the feedback sound of MMM-google assistant. that will increase the vitality of the mirror ?? Has someone ever done it please help me ??
@bugsounet Thank you very much, I'm still looking for a suitable Python file, when there is it I will try according to your instructions.
For my setup I have used the module MMM-WS281X-Server
This module is designed to use the RPI-WS2812-Server (TCP socket) project from Tom. RPI-WS2812-Server uses rpi_ws281x PWM driver code from jgarff.
Goal was to use ws2812 LED strips on Magic Mirror without the need of root user in NodeJS.
Problem is direct memory access which can only be done by a user with privileged rights.
I have forked it to had MMM-GoogleAssistant notifications and launch effects on listen, reply and error and also recipes to put the mirror in certain colors
You can see it in https://github.com/jeffouille/MMM-WS281X-Server
use your own python script
@bugsounet personally I am never done programming and I block at the level of the script to be done. would it be possible to have one as an example for novices like me thank you.
@Mahateo every led strip have each an protocol (API), so i can't send you any example and Python is not really my cut of tea
